I think Aquarium USA said it best in their 2001 Annual issue - "Oscars are the ultimate 'pet' fish."

Here's a look at my two 'Red' Oscars & Pleco:

They've (Oscars) laid two clutches of eggs this month (this first), but neither has hatched (sigh!).

The goldish one (left) is male & the orange one (right) is female. Dunno about the Pleco.

This little guy will follow your cursor, and sometimes do tricks...
(Put your cursor low in the bowl, then center your cursor above the bowl!)

He kinda reminds me of my orangish-Oscar when I'm feeding him Krill!
